Steve "Keys" Watts

Steve Watts is a well respected and experienced musician having been playing live since his mid teens in countless band including years of recording and touring with European stars Archive. Other artists/bands Steve has worked with, to name just a few, are Terry Hall (The Specials), Sam Brown, Peter Conway, Jonathan Jeremiah, Sia, The Honeycombs, and has been playing in the popular 60s band The Tar Babies for god knows how long. Steve specialises in retro sounds with the Hammond Organ being his favourite closely followed by the Stylophone and Ukulele. You can't beat the warmth and depth of a Rhodes electric piano also. Ooooooooh, nice. So when my old mate Mat (whom I knew through Archive and had already played with on the French TV gig from hell) gave me the call to see if I wanted to audition for BLZ, I thought well, great band, great keyboards sounds and I loved the freedom to improvise and above all to Rock! Thankfully I got the audition and we've been improving as a band all the time, and what an interesting mix of personality's! I love em!
