Why Mantlefest

On 8th July 2006 Dave Mantle was tragically killed in a motor bike accident on returning from setting up a gig for local band, Leatherat. Dave was a much loved boyfriend, friend, son, brother, biker, roadie and family to many. He touched so many lives and his memory will live on in those who loved him. The only solace is that he died doing what he loved most-riding hard! Dave was a staunch supporter of Live music and an inspiration to many of the bands on the festival bill. His life needed to be celebrated in the only way possible - live music and a few beers!

THe aim of Mantlefest is to raise money for the BMF, the British Motorbike Federation; Horton Hospital Accident and Emergency Department, Banbury; and Dave's long term partner, Helen.
